Awaken the Sleeper
Do You Not Know? Have You Not Heard?
For Pastors and Ministry Leaders
Most discipleship curricula begin at Chapter 3 — assuming the foundation is already in place. Awaken the Sleeper begins at Chapter 1.
If you lead a congregation, a small group program, a campus ministry, a recovery community, or any gathering of people who are looking for more than they are currently experiencing — this page is for you.
Awaken the Sleeper was not designed as another curriculum option. It was designed as a response to a gap that most small group leaders quietly recognize: the people sitting in our groups have been hearing the faith described for years. Most have never had a structured, accountable, community-based space to actually live it.
The Gap Most Curricula Don’t Address
The research is consistent. Most discipleship programs produce graduates — people who know more about the Christian life than when they started. What they rarely produce is disciples — people who are actively living what they know and equipped to walk someone else through the same journey.
The gap between what believers profess and how they live on a Tuesday is not a knowledge problem. It is a formation problem. Most curricula address it by adding more knowledge. Awaken the Sleeper addresses it differently.
What Makes Awaken the Sleeper Different
Starts at Chapter 1 - It builds the foundation rather than assuming it. It serves the person who has never seriously examined their faith alongside the 20-year believer.
Dual-audience design - The seeker and the mature believer sit at the same table. Neither is labeled. Both are served. The dynamic between them is part of what makes the study work.
Built-in accountability - Each week participants make one specific witness commitment and report back the following session. Not optional. Not softened. This is what moves faith from knowledge to action.
Multiplication architecture - The goal of Pillar 4 is not completion. It is identification of who the participant will disciple through the next cycle. The Great Commission is embedded in the design.
Website + print integration - All 30 topics available free at dynk.org. Audio sessions, Digging Deeper commentary, FAQs, Truth Cards and Prayer Altar extend every lesson beyond the session room.
How It Works for Your Ministry
Step 1 — Evaluate with the Leader’s Kit
The Leader’s Kit is the right starting point for any pastor or ministry leader considering Awaken the Sleeper for their congregation. It contains everything you need to evaluate the study before committing your group: the complete Leader’s Guide covering all four pillars, all four Participant Guides, and the physical Truth Cards that cannot be fully assessed from a website description.
All 30 topics are also available free at dynk.org before you order anything.
Step 2 — Order for Your Group(s)
Group bundles are available in two sizes — Group of 8 and Group of 10 — each containing complete Personal Kits for every participant and one Leader’s Kit. One order. One delivery. Your group starts together.
Group Bundles
Group of 8 · 7 Personal Kits + 1 Leader’s Kit · $339.60 · Saves $67 on average in freight
Group of 10 · 9 Personal Kits + 1 Leader’s Kit · $419.50 · Saves $83 on average in freight
Step 3 — Lead Your Group
The Leader’s Guide provides everything a small group leader needs to facilitate each session — discussion questions, facilitation guidance, prayer suggestions, and the weekly witness commitment framework. No prior small group leadership training is required. A willing leader and an honest group is the only prerequisite.

The Online Group Option for Your Ministry
Some members of your congregation may be unable to attend an in-person group — due to health, geography, schedule, or circumstance. DYNK’s facilitated online Zoom groups offer the same complete study experience to those members who cannot participate in person. You can recommend the online program to individuals in your congregation without hosting it yourself.
