Pillar 1 - Foundational Truths
You Are Eternal
According to Scripture, death is not the end of your existence, but the beginning of eternity.
Most people carry the question quietly their whole lives — what happens after death, and does the answer change how you should live right now?
Scripture reveals every person has a beginning — but no end. You are an eternal soul, and where you spend eternity is the most important decision you will ever make.

Where Will You Spend Eternity ?
This is the truth in its simplest form — the same words printed on the inside of every You Are Eternal Truth Card:
Do not move past this too quickly.
If this is true, which it is, it changes everything about your life.
What Scripture Says About You And Eternity
Mankind was made in the image of God. Genesis 1:27 tells us “So God created man in his own image, in his own image God created them….” One of God’s traits we are given is eternal life that extends beyond the limits of the physical body. “He has put eternity into man’s heart…” – Ecclesiastes 3:11.
While God has no beginning and no end, you had a beginning … but you have no end. Deep down, you know this life isn’t all there is. You’ve felt it: the ache for something more, that this world isn’t all there is - the sense that death isn't the end. The Bible confirms it: “It is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment.” — Hebrews 9:27.
So, eternity is not an option. You will exist forever - the only question is where. “Many… shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.” – Daniel 12:2. “These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” – Matthew 25:46.
God doesn’t want you to perish. He wishes to lose none. That’s why He sent His Son. “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.” – John 3:16. Jesus overcame death to give you life.
The choice is yours! There is no middle ground. There is no second chance. The door is open — but not forever. “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.” – John 3:36. Come to Christ now - while you still can.
What Others Ask
Q. What happens after you die?
A. According to Scripture, death is not the end but a transition into eternity. At death, the soul continues to exist and faces judgment (Hebrews 9:27). Eternal destination — heaven or separation from God — is determined by one's response to Jesus Christ in this life.
Q. Is death really the end, or is there something more?
A. The Bible is clear that death is not the end. You had a beginning, but you have no end. Scripture says God has put eternity in the human heart (Ecclesiastes 3:11), and that all will be raised — some to everlasting life, some to everlasting contempt (Daniel 12:2). Death is a doorway, not a wall.
Q. Does the Bible say every person has a soul that lives forever?
A. Yes. The Bible teaches that mankind was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27), which includes eternal existence. Unlike animals, every human being possesses an immortal soul. Physical death ends the body's life on earth but does not end the soul's existence.
Q. What does the Bible mean when it says God put eternity in our hearts?
A. Ecclesiastes 3:11 says God 'has put eternity into man's heart.' This means every person carries an innate awareness that this life is not all there is — a deep longing that points toward our eternal nature. It is why questions about death, meaning, and the afterlife resonate so universally.
Q. How does the reality of eternity change how I should live today?
A. If eternity is real — and Scripture insists it is — then the most important decision of your life is where you will spend it. Jesus said believers will have eternal life, but those who reject him face God's wrath (John 3:36). The door is open now. The time to choose is today.
Digging Deeper Introduction
Eternity is not an illusion. Nor is it the false hope of a pipe dream. Eternity is revealed in Scripture, reflected in the soul of mankind, demanded by justice, confirmed by reason and witnessed in Christ Jesus Himself. It is not optional. It is the true destiny of each soul’s journey.
Because you are made in God’s image, He has placed the knowledge of eternity in your heart. “He has also set eternity in the human heart”. Ecclesiastes 3:11 Daniel speaks of a resurrection prophecy where ‘Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt. Daniel 12:2
In the New Testament, John 3:16 tells us that “…whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. Christ confirmed it further when He stated “My Father’s house has many rooms …I am going to prepare a place for you … I will come back and take your to be with me.” John14:2-3 Revelations 21-22 serves up the clearest vision of a restored eternal home.
If this is true, you cannot ignore it.
Come to Christ now - while you still can.
Someone’s eternity depends on it!
Awaken the sleeper!
